Royal Razor Barbershop loves partnering with American Express and utilizing Small Business Saturday to help bring awareness to local businesses.

In 2010, American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help businesses with their most pressing need — getting more customers. The day encourages people to shop at small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The single day has grown into a powerful movement, and more people are taking part than ever before. This year, the big day is Nov 29.

The kind folks at American Express spotlighted Royal Razor with an article talking about our inception, marketing and success with Small Business Saturday.

Please check out the article and search your local area for other establishments to support on Small Business Saturday, November 29th, 2014.

Last night the shop had a private event with Yelp and had special sponsorship from Courvoisier, and Two Boots Pizza!  We made some new friends, drunk some tasty cocktails, had some delicious pizza and gave away free cuts.

I would like to thank Elsa from Yelp for making all of this happen and we look forward to working with Yelp again.

We teamed up with local Baltimore men’s boutique, Different Regard, this past Wednesday, 28 November, and threw an event at the barbershop featuring their ready to wear collection and made-to-measure service.  We had a good turn out comprising of young professionals, artists, clients and neighborhood figures.

Free wine and food seems to draw a crowd…I wonder why?  LOL.

The event was a success…creating awareness for both brands, Different Regard and Royal Razor.

Starting in January, Royal Razor will be hosting monthly events to draw awareness to our brand and give something back to our clients.

I managed to take some pics before I got smashed.

As some of the last touches are happening for the barber shop, Royal Razor has finalized the window signage for the shop front.  And as modest as I am…not really, I must say this is the coolest barbershop window graphic I have ever seen.  As of right now, my design is pending review with the landlord and property manager.

I would like to personally thank my designer, Tommy, for really giving Royal Razor such a strong graphic, branding image.  Without him, it wouldn’t look sooooo cool.

The photo above is what the shop front will look like.

Baltimore Barbershop Barber Shop Multicultural Black Latino Best Royal RazorThis week, Royal Razor Barbershop placed its 1st print ad.

If effort to establish a presence before the soft launch in July, Royal Razor Barbershop has used local newspaper, Baltimore City Paper, to kick off its print ad campaign.

I want people to KNOW Royal Razor exists and one of the better ways to grab the attention of my demographic is to advertise in City Paper.  Baltimore City Paper is read by everyone…black, latino, white, young, old, gay, straight, and any combination in between.

Like other major cities that have alternative newspapers, Baltimore City Paper writes unique stories, tells readers about all the social happenings of area, and showcases restaurants and other local brands.

I’ve decided to make this one of the legs of the Royal Razor marketing plan.

Like all marketing efforts, consistency is the key to making this multicultural barbershop brand known.

Royal Razor Barbershop, in Baltimore, MD, will be offering grooming services for men such as fades, scissor cuts, and hot towel shaves.  The barbershop will specialize in cutting all hair types from black, Hispanic and other straight haired men.
